About Us

Commonwealth Restaurant Group was established in 2015 with the opening of our first restaurant Ocean Blue, bringing to life our vision of the perfect recipe for success within the food industry. An all-encompassing design extending past brick and mortar to include every element that awakens your senses. Our existence is intended to make you feel. Hospitality. Above everything. Our mission is all about how we make you feel. Whether you dine with us, drink with us, work with us, or party with us, we want you to FEEL with us.

Dining Guidelines
+ Attire

We invite you to join us for an exciting experience dining in a comfortable, upscale environment. To enhance the visits of all our guests, we ask that you respect our dress code + dining guidelines.

 

DRESS CODE

Your comfort is our priority, however we do not feel that overly casual attire is appropriate for dining at all of our restaurants. Dress code recommendations can be found on each restaurant's website.

DINING GUIDELINES

Our restaurants are intended for both large and small groups. Most seating in the dining room is designed for parties up to 8 people. If you have a group larger than 8, your party may require additional provisions to be accommodated. We are happy to assist with these reservations.

While we consider special requests, modifications cannot always be honored as they can impact the flow of our kitchen and the integrity of many dishes.

Please notify us of any allergies. We are very concerned for your well-being and not all ingredients are listed on the menu.

We request any cell phone conversations be taken to the lobby or outside.

Out of consideration for other guests who are waiting, we may ask to accommodate your party at the bar if a significant amount of time has passed. We typically will never make this request short of 90 minutes after you are seated.

RESTAURANT STAFF POSITIONS

Nostro Restobar + Lounge, Utica's newest lively neighborhood restaurant is ready to hear from you! We are looking for EXPERIENCED MANAGERS, ASSISTANT MANAGERS, SOUS CHEFS, KITCHEN MANAGERS, LINE COOKS, PREP COOKS, DISHWASHERS, BARTENDERS, BUSSERS, SERVERS & HOSTS/HOSTESSES. 

EXPERIENCED candidates should bring with them a great work ethic, positive attitude, desire to learn in a high volume, fast paced restaurant.  We focus heavily on training and educating to offer opportunities for growth within the company.  We are employee focused, offering competitive wages and health benefits after 90 days.

We offer both physical cards and electronic online cards in varying amounts, that can be used at all Commonwealth Restaurant Concepts locations. Private Dining

We’d love to host your next cocktail party, dinner, weekend brunch, wedding, and more. We are happy to offer a team of driven professionals to help perfectly organize and execute your next event. Our staff is excited to host everything from small intimate dinners, to grand gatherings of 100+. At Ocean Blue, special events are a way of extending our full restaurant experience to new guests, and soon to be friends.
